Denver Part II
This post was supposed to go up on Monday PM but somehow got saved instead of posted. Currently we are in New York. Tonight while using our $15/24 hour internet connection, I will post on Boston and NYC Yankees. I will try to use fewer words and more pics but can't guarantee anything.
Tom wanted me to start off by pointing out that I completely neglected to mention that he was on TV. If you looked very carefully at the ESPN highlights for the game we saw in Denver, you may have seen a white arm waving crazily in the outfield near the bullpen where a homerun ended up. That would have been TOM and he was trying to catch the baseball that was nowhere near him. But, it was exciting!
We are in Ohio now. We didn't get as far as we had hoped today due to some crazy traffic. We were actually all the way stopped for about 30 minutes and there wasn't even a wreck (or maybe they had it all cleared by the time we got there). Anyway, we are outside of Toledo and on our way to Boston tomorrow.
Funniest part of the day was an emergency bathroom stop on the side of the toll road in Ohio after dark. We left the hazards on while one of us had to run into the low rising weeds to deal with the emergency. Some trucker must have thought we were broken down and called the cops because they showed up about 5 minutes later. Fortunately, all business was done and we were on our way soon. There just aren't enough stops on that tollway unless you want to pay to get off and then back on again.
